Hurricane, Utah is a great area to play outdoors year-round. The Cliff Dwellers Retreat is located on the foothills above Hurricane and has great access to year-round recreation. Some of our favorite areas to play in the outdoors are Zion National Park, Red Cliffs National Recreation Area, Snow Canyon State Park, Copper Rock Golf Course, Sand Hollow State Park, and the Virgin River Canyon. Cliff Dwellers Retreat is a beautiful vacation rental that offers great access to all these Saint George recreation areas.
Zion National Park is one of the most famous national parks in the United States. It has beautiful hikes and views of the red rock formations and canyons. The zion narrows is a narrow gorge that has red rock cliffs on each side over a thousand feet tall with the Virgin River running through the bottom. The massive cliff walls, amazing rock formations, and green and blue water contrasting with the red rock is a truly breathtaking experience.
Red Cliffs National Recreation Area is a great area to explore and has hikes from short and easy to long and hard. It also has some great ATV trails and views of the Virgin River and several beautiful red rock arches. There are also a couple cool hikes with waterfalls.
Sand Hollow State Park and Copper Rock Golf Course are both just minutes from the Cliff Dwellers Retreat and are both amazing recreation areas. Sand Hollow is a beautiful lake for boating, swimming, and playing in the water. It also has some great ATV trails and sand areas for those people who enjoy riding ATVs and side by sides. Copper Rock Golf Course is an amazing golf course just a few miles from the Cliff Dwellers vacation rental. With red rock terrain and a beautifully designed course golfers will love this golf course.
Snow Canyon State Park and Dixie National Forest are great recreation areas with rock climbing, hiking, and mountain biking. They are fun places for families to hike, explore, and bike. The Dixie National Forest is a great place to explore with ATV and side by sides.
